After lunch, Laurie’s parents bring the birthday cake in the room. It is pink, blue and purple and made of chocolate. There are twenty candles on it, one for every year that has passed since her birth. While everyone is singing “ happy birthday”, Laurie is looking at the cake. Then, she closes her eyes, makes a wish and blows the candles. Everyone claps their hands and request a piece of cake, including Jack. He tastes it and it is so delicious!
